Questions
About the OBD port
On most cars it's under the dash on the driver's side, within reach of the steering column. Some makers hide it behind a cover, a coin tray or a fuse panel lid, and on right-hand-drive cars it can sit on the opposite side to the left-hand-drive version. Look the car up for the exact spot.
Owners sometimes move the socket as an anti-theft measure, or fit an OBD lock or a relocation lead. If the recess is empty, follow the loom up behind the lower dash. The model page notes it on the generations where we know it happens.
Often, yes. Where the position changes between left- and right-hand drive, the finder shows both, with a toggle to switch. UK visitors see the right-hand-drive position first.
Every car since the early 2000s uses the same 16-pin socket, so any OBD tool will physically fit. Whether a tool can program keys on that car is a different question — the full vehicle record lists the tools confirmed for each job.
