    • Improvements

Email notifications for subscriptions and community activity

You'll now get emails when your subscription renews, three days before your next charge, when someone replies to your tip, and when you post your first community tip.

    • Improvements

      Image attachments on roadmap ideas

You can now attach up to 4 images when submitting an idea or replying to one on the roadmap. You'll also get emailed when someone replies to your idea (if you've opted in to roadmap notifications).

    • Improvements

      Camera plate recognition

Subscribers can now snap a photo of a registration plate and have it read automatically, instead of typing it in. The camera button appears next to the manual entry field on the reg lookup screen. You get 10 lookups per day; any extras can be typed in as usual.

    • Improvements

Select all / deselect all for Lishi picks

The Lishi picks section in your kit now has Select all and Deselect all buttons. Handy if you own a full set and don't fancy ticking 40-odd picks one by one. Works with the search filter too — type a make, hit Select all, and only those picks get ticked.

    • Improvements

Vehicle request emails now link to the exact page

When we fulfil a vehicle request, the notification email now includes a direct link to the vehicle page instead of a search. You'll land straight on the vehicle you asked for — no searching required.

    • Improvements

Tools index page and improved search visibility

Added a dedicated tools catalogue page listing every key programmer and adapter, grouped by manufacturer. Improved search engine visibility across the site with better page titles, descriptions, and structured data — your tools and services should now show up more reliably when locksmiths search for compatibility information.

    • Improvements

      Blog is live

Keysolved now has a blog at `/blog`. Posts include key takeaways, FAQ sections, pricing tables, and links to vehicle and tool pages in the Keysolved database.

    • Improvements

Tidy your Programmers & adapters list — fold by brand

The Programmers & adapters section in My Kit and onboarding now lists each brand (ABRITES, AUTEL, Xhorse and the rest) as a row you can tap to expand, instead of a long flat wall. Each row shows the count at a glance — "9 tools" when you've not ticked any, "2 of 9 owned" once you have — so you can scan straight to the brands you actually carry without scrolling past every option.

    • Improvements

Sort your Lishi picks by pick number

The Lishi picks section in My Kit and onboarding has a new **Sort: By make / By pick** toggle. Flip it to **By pick** and you'll see each pick listed once, in number order, with the cars it opens shown alongside — handy when you're asking yourself "have I already got an HU101?" rather than browsing by make. Your choice is remembered on the device you're using.

    • Improvements

Lishi pick catalogue cleaned up — 5 new releases added

We've consolidated duplicate Lishi picks in the catalogue, added the recent HU198-4, K9 V.4, FB77, HU23, and SRT2018 models, and hidden non-automotive picks (residential locks, padlocks, motorcycle picks) from your auto-locksmith picker so you see only what's relevant to your work.

    • Fixes

Line breaks in roadmap ideas now show as line breaks

If you submitted a roadmap idea with multiple lines, the public ideas list was squashing it into a single run-on paragraph. The list now renders your line breaks exactly as you typed them — no need to re-submit anything; old ideas pick up the fix straight away.

    • Fixes

Tips with line breaks now display correctly

When you add a tip with each item on a new line, those breaks now show up in the rendered tip instead of collapsing into a single paragraph. Helpful for keeping vehicle variants or key dates readable at a glance.

    • Improvements

Save button on the Tools page now follows you down the list

On `/account/tools`, the Save button used to sit at the very bottom of the kit picker — so if you ticked a Lishi pick three sections in, you had to scroll all the way down to commit it. Now an orange bar floats above the picker as soon as you change anything, showing how many changes are pending with a Save button right there. Save once you're done picking, no more scroll-to-the-end.

    • Improvements

      Notifications when ideas change status

Submit an idea on /roadmap and you'll now get a notification the moment an admin moves it to Under review, Building, Shipped, or Declined — with a tap-through link straight to your idea. Opt out of the "Your idea changed status" toggle in /account/notifications if you'd rather not be pinged.

    • Improvements

Brief me on a plate — lookup jobs by number plate

Type a UK registration and get a full job briefing in one go. DVSA identifies the vehicle, then you get key spec, OBD location, compatible tools, procedure, community tips, and stock check — no manual searching needed.

    • Improvements

New MCP tools for your kit and OBD information

Check what tools and stock you own directly in MCP queries, and look up OBD port locations for any vehicle. Two new personal tools join the existing catalogue lookups.

    • Improvements

Onboarding now gives you something useful — tour or instant search

New locksmiths can now choose between a guided tour of a real vehicle or jump straight to searching for the one they need. Mobile users also get a one-tap install button so Keysolved lives on their home screen alongside WhatsApp — no more Safari tabs getting closed mid-job.

    • Improvements

Vehicle request notifications — get notified when your requested vehicle is added

When you request a vehicle and an admin adds it to the catalogue, you'll now receive a notification with a link to find it. No more wondering if your request went anywhere.

    • Improvements

Notifications for OBD illustration requests — Users are now notified when vehicle illustrations become available

When a vehicle illustration you've requested is generated, you'll receive a notification in your account. This applies to illustrations completed through both manual uploads and automated backfill.

    • Improvements

Tool pages now show specs, pros/cons, and related tools

Tool coverage pages expanded with hardware specs, pricing details, frequently paired tools, pros and watchouts, and FAQ sections. Editorial content is hand-curated per tool; pages without it auto-generate factual descriptions so AI engines can still cite them accurately.

    • Improvements

User notification inbox — read status, preferences, and badge

You can now manage your notifications with full read/unread controls, filter by type, and customise which events trigger alerts. A bell badge shows your unread count at a glance.

    • Improvements

Tool compatibility matrix — search and filter tools by vehicle coverage

Cross-reference key programmers, dongles, and adapters against vehicle make and model. Filter by manufacturer, price band (£500–£1500 dominates the locksmith tier), and search vehicles by make or model. Each tool now has a dedicated coverage page showing which vehicles it supports, with adapter and token requirements per row.

    • Improvements

      Reg lookup tool

Added a new Reg lookup link in the footer for quick access to vehicle registration searches. This brings our most-used tool front and centre when you need it.

    • Vehicles

      Right-hand drive OBD port details

Vehicle pages now support separate OBD port location and access instructions for right-hand drive variants. A toggle lets you switch between LHD and RHD descriptions when both are available.

    • Improvements

Request vehicle button now appears across the app

You can now request specific vehicles from vehicle listing pages, empty search results, and the vehicle not-found page. Your requests help us prioritise which vehicles to add next.

    • Improvements

Request a vehicle — now in footer and search results

We've made it easier to tell us what vehicles you need. The request form is now prominently placed in the footer on every page, plus it appears when you search for something we don't have yet. Admins triage requests weekly based on demand.

    • Improvements

OBD port illustrations and request queue

Vehicle detail pages now display OBD port location illustrations with a lightbox viewer. Subscribers can request illustrations for vehicles that don't yet have them; admins see a prioritised queue of the most-requested vehicles to focus illustration efforts where they're most needed.

    • Vehicles

OBD port access instructions — now recordable

Vehicle records now capture how to physically access the OBD port (e.g. behind a clip-in cover, pull the tab to release). This helps locksmiths locate the diagnostics port quickly on unfamiliar vehicles.
