Keysolved operates the vehicle key reference database at keysolved.com. For questions about this policy or your data, contact us at hello@keysolved.com.

• Account data

  When you create an account, we collect your email address and (if you provide it) your display name and country. Authentication is handled by Clerk — we do not store your password directly.

• Billing data

  If you subscribe, your payment is processed by Stripe. We store your Stripe customer ID and subscription status. We never see or store your full card number.

• Usage data

  We record which vehicle pages are viewed (view counts) and community tips you post or vote on. We use Vercel Analytics for aggregate, anonymised traffic data — no individual tracking or fingerprinting.

• Technical data

  Standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited, timestamps) are generated automatically by our hosting provider, Vercel. These are retained in line with Vercel's standard data retention policy and are not used for advertising.

We use the following third-party services to operate Keysolved:

  Stores your account data, subscription status, and community content. neon.tech/privacy-policy

All data is processed in accordance with UK GDPR and, where applicable, EU GDPR. Where data is transferred outside the UK, we rely on standard contractual clauses or adequacy decisions.

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your personal data (email, display name, subscription status) is removed from our database within 30 days. Community tips you have posted may be retained in anonymised or deleted form at your request — contact hello@keysolved.com.

Billing records required for tax and accounting purposes are retained for 7 years in line with UK law.

As a UK resident, you have the right to:

  Ask us to delete your personal data, subject to legal retention obligations.

  Request your data in a structured, machine-readable format.

  Where processing is based on consent, withdraw it at any time.

You can exercise your rights to access, portability, and erasure immediately from the Your data section of your account page — use Export my data for a machine-readable JSON bundle and Delete my account to erase your personal data and cancel any subscription. For any other request (rectification, objection, withdrawal of consent) email hello@keysolved.com. We will respond within 30 days. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

Keysolved uses strictly necessary cookies for authentication sessions (set by Clerk) and to remember your preferences. These are always on — the site doesn't work without them.

We also use analytics and advertising cookies, but only if you accept them on the banner shown on your first visit. These are Google Analytics, which tells us how our pages perform, and the Meta Pixel, which tells us which of our ads led to a subscription. If you accept, we share a one-way encrypted version of your email address with Meta so it can match a subscription to the ad you clicked — Meta never receives your actual email address, and we never share your vehicle searches or anything else you look up on Keysolved.

Decline and none of it is set: no advertising cookies, and nothing about you is sent to Meta from your browser or from our servers. You can change your mind by clearing your cookies for this site, which brings the banner back.

We may update this policy as our practices change or as required by law. Material changes will be communicated by email or by a notice on the platform. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent update.
