Diagnostic port location (OBD)
Driver's footwell, below the dashboard on the left side of the steering column, near the hood release lever. The 16-pin connector faces downward and is visible when looking up from the footwell area. You may need to crouch or lie on the ground outside the driver's door to locate it. Same position on all New Beetle trims (GL, GLS, GLX, Turbo S) and body styles (coupe and convertible). LHD market only.
