LHD (US/Canada): on the driver's side lower dash, mounted in the instrument lower panel left of the steering column at knee height, below the fuse block lid and next to the bonnet (hood) release. The 16-pin connector faces down; kneel in the door opening and look up under the panel edge. Same panel on 2.5 petrol and PHEV, all trims. For key work you also need the BCM behind the fuse panel just above it (see the access note).
