Location

US cars are left-hand drive only. The 16-pin connector is under the driver's side of the lower dash, immediately left of the steering column and directly beside the interior fuse panel, which sits behind its own cover to the left of the steering wheel. It faces down towards the footwell, roughly level with your knee when you are sat in the seat, and is well inboard of the bonnet release. Same position on every TF trim, LX through SXL, and on the Hybrid.

How to access

The connector is at the outboard end of the lower dash trim next to the driver's fuse panel. That fuse panel cover pulls straight off by hand at the finger notch, no tools, and taking it off gives you a clear run at the plug on cars where the trim sits low over the connector. On most TF cars you can plug straight in from the footwell without removing anything.
