RHD (UK): driver's footwell on the right-hand (door) side, under the outer lower edge of the dashboard, outboard of the steering column. Same position on petrol 1.5 VTEC Turbo and the 2.0 i-MMD / e:HEV hybrid, and across S, SE, SR, EX and Sport Line. If you can't see it from the seat, get your head down into the footwell and look up under the outer dash corner with a torch.
Usually exposed. On some cars a small trim panel or lid sits over the socket. It pulls away by hand, and the 16-pin socket is behind it.
