LHD: driver's footwell, right down at the bottom of the dash, immediately to the right of the bonnet-release lever. It sits up under the lower dash lip rather than facing you, so you have to get your head down by the pedals and look up — owners routinely miss it. It is not in the panel at the end of the dash by the driver's door (that is the trim cover for the dash-end), and it is not behind the glovebox (that is the passenger-compartment fuse and relay box on this van). RHD: the lower dash on this van is not mirrored — Ford's own handbook states the bonnet-release lever stays on the left-hand side in both left- and right-hand-drive vehicles — so on UK vans look low down in the same central/left part of the footwell area under the lower dash lip, not out by the driver's right knee. Same position across Trend, Titanium, Sport and Active.
Open/clip-down the lower-dash trim panel on the driver's side by hand to expose the 16-pin connector — no tools needed. On some cars it is open with a small surround rather than a full cover.
