Location

Driver's footwell (right-hand side footwell on UK RHD cars), under the dashboard below the steering column. Standard 16-pin OBD2 J1962 socket. NOTE: The ID.3 uses CAN FD protocol — some older budget OBD adapters that pre-date CAN FD support will not communicate. Use a CAN FD-capable adapter (e.g. OBDEleven, VCDS-compatible dongle with CAN FD support, or the diagnostic interface supplied with a professional key programmer).
