Volkswagen Amarok OBD port location

Two generations, 2010–2026. Pick yours.

2023–2026

2nd gen (Ford T6.2)

Illustration — use it to know where to look.

Location

Right-hand-drive UK cars: driver's side, on the lower dash to the right of the steering column, up near the kick panel by the fuse-box area. It sits behind a pull-down plastic trim cover — drop the cover to reach the 16-pin connector. The layout follows the Next-Gen Ford Ranger the Amarok shares its body with, so it's the same across Core, Life, Style, PanAmericana and Aventura.

2010–2020

1st gen (2H)

Location

Driver's footwell, under the dashboard, below and to the left of the steering column. Standard VW-family trapezoidal OBD-16 connector, accessible without removing trim. Consistent location across the full 2H production run (2010-2020), including the 2016 facelift. The Amarok 2H is a pickup truck with a cab-forward driving position; the OBD port sits in the same relative position as on other VAG commercial vehicles (Transporter T5/T6), directly within reach from the driver's seat.
