2024–2026

Mk2

Location

RHD (UK cars): driver's footwell, tucked up above the lower closure panel beneath the steering column, facing downwards. You will not see it from the seat — kneel in the door aperture, reach up past the bottom edge of the knee trim beside the lower steering-column shroud and you will find the 16-pin socket by feel. Same position on SE and Trophy and on all three powertrains (1.5 petrol, Hybrid+, Plug-in Hybrid). LHD cars mirror it: same height and depth, above the lower closure panel on the left-hand side under the column. Do not waste time on the small pull-out tray in the driver's fascia — that is the way into the cabin fuse box, not the diagnostic socket. Worth knowing if you have done the 2019-2023 HS before: that car had the socket further forward, above the pedals, so the muscle memory does not transfer.

2018–2024

1st generation (AS23)

Illustration — use it to know where to look.

Location

RHD UK car: under the dash on the driver's side, to the left of the steering column and right next to the centre console. It sits behind the same lower dash panel that covers the passenger-compartment fuse box. Seen on a 2021 HS plug-in hybrid. No trim differences found. One report for the 2023-2024 HS II puts the port above the accelerator pedal on the driver's side. Not confirmed whether that is a different position or the same one described from the footwell.

How to access

The port is under the lower dash panel that covers the fuse box. How the panel releases (clips, screws, tools) is not confirmed. Not confirmed whether the 16-pin socket is visible straight away.
