Location

Driver side, under the lower dashboard trim to the left of the steering column, near the driver's left knee. The 16-pin OBD-II connector is in the lower footwell area beneath the instrument panel; it faces outward and slightly downward. May require kneeling or using a flashlight — positioned just below and behind the crash pad cover, within approximately 12 inches of the steering column. Accessible without removing any panels.

Location

Driver's side, under the lower knee bolster directly in front of your left knee, to the left of the steering column. The 16-pin connector points down into the footwell below the bottom edge of the lower dash panel, so reach under rather than looking at the panel face. Same position on sedan, Forte5 and Koup and on all trims. US market is left-hand drive only.

OBD port location in a Kia Forte TD

TD 2010–2013

LHD: driver's footwell, on the underside of the lower dash panel (Kia calls it the crash pad lower panel) to the left of the steering column, above and to the left of the pedals - on manual cars it sits just left of the clutch pedal. The 16-pin socket faces down and is tucked up higher than you expect, so kneel in the door opening and look up. Same position on the saloon, Koup and Forte5, turn-key and push-button cars alike.
