RHD (UK): driver's footwell, outboard of the steering column, tucked up under the lower lip of the dashboard roughly above the driver's right knee. Put your head down into the footwell and look up and it is sitting immediately alongside the red bonnet-release lever — that lever is the landmark, because the socket itself is out of sight from the seat. LHD: the mirrored position, under the dash on the driver's left side below the steering wheel, again beside the bonnet release. The 16-pin connector faces downwards on both, so the lead goes in upwards. Same position on every C30 trim from S through R-Design, and unchanged by the 2010 facelift.
