RHD (UK): driver's footwell, clipped to the underside of the dash carrier alongside the driver's footwell lamp — the socket and the lamp share one plastic holder, so if you can see the footwell lamp you are within a hand's width of the plug. Look up from the driver's seat with a torch, roughly above the pedals and below the column shroud; the connector is the fuchsia/pink 16-pin one. It is not behind the end-of-dash fuse flap, and it is not behind the glovebox — the module behind the RHD glovebox is the CAN gateway, which is a different part and catches people out. LHD: mirrored to the driver's side, under the lower dash to the left of the steering column, above the footrest and immediately beside the bonnet release lever. Same position on every trim (S, SE, Match, Sport, Escape, R-Line) and unchanged across the 2011 facelift.
