Driver's footwell, left-hand side, tucked up high under the outboard edge of the lower dash panel roughly in line with the bonnet-release lever and just inboard of the door sill. It is not on the flat underside of the dash where most Volkswagens put it, and you cannot see it from the driver's seat — get your head down into the footwell with a torch, or feel up and inboard with your hand until you find the connector. Trade shorthand is to look for the lilac/purple connector body. Every US CC is left-hand drive and the position is the same on all trims and both engines, 2009 through 2017.
