Right-hand-drive Japanese car: driver's footwell, on the outboard (right-hand) side under the lower dash, roughly above and behind the accelerator pedal and close to the driver's kick panel — the bonnet-release lever and the factory option coupler sit in the same pocket, so if you have found the bonnet release you are within a hand's width of the socket. The 16-pin connector faces down and forward; drop into the seat, look up under the lower dash edge and it is in plain sight, not buried behind trim. Same position on every grade and on both the hybrid and the 1.2 turbo, and it did not move at the October 2019 facelift.
