Location

UK right-hand drive: driver's footwell, on the underside of the dashboard directly above the pedals, on the throttle-pedal side of the steering column and immediately alongside the bonnet release lever. Crouch at the driver's door sill and look up past the throttle pedal — the 16-pin connector faces downwards and is exposed, with no lid, flap or coin tray over it. Do not confuse it with the driver's fusebox, which is behind its own snap-off lower-dash cover further outboard. Same position on saloon, liftback and Tourer estate, on every UK grade from T2 to T Spirit, and unchanged by the 2006 facelift. This record is scoped to UK RHD cars; on a left-hand-drive import look before assuming the position simply mirrors.
