Diagnostic port location (OBD)
Driver's side lower dashboard, beneath the steering column, above the brake pedal. On LHD vehicles (Gulf states, most Middle East, most global Y62 markets) the port is on the left side of the footwell beneath the steering column. On RHD vehicles (Aus/NZ) the port mirrors to the right side. Standard 16-pin OBD2 connector. The Y62 may have a small plastic cover over the OBD port that clips off for access. The HFM (Hands Free Module / Intelligent Key Control Module) — which holds the NATS PIN — is located behind the dashboard near the fuse panel, accessible after partial dash removal for bench-based operations.
