Driver's footwell, to the left of the steering column (RHD), above the pedals at knee level. The connector sits behind a small snap-off plastic panel integrated into the lower dash trim, directly above the pedal cluster. The same position is consistent across all R51 trims (XE, XS, LE) and across the 2008 facelift — no trim variation on location.
Snap-off plastic cover on the lower dash panel above the pedals. Pull the panel tab downward with a fingernail — no tools required. The 16-pin OBD connector is immediately visible once the cover is removed.
