Location

RHD (UK/Europe): driver's side, in the lower dash on the right of the cabin. The 16-pin socket sits below the lower dash panel just under the steering column, roughly above the accelerator/throttle pedal and to the left of the column where it meets the centre of the dash. No flap or trim removal needed — kneel in the driver's footwell and feel up under the dash edge near the column with a torch. Same position across all D40 trims (RX, ST, ST-X, Outlaw, Tekna). LHD cars sold in mainland Europe place the same connector on the left side of the cabin, low under the dash above the pedals on the right of the LHD driver's footwell, again with no cover.
