Right-hand drive only in this market. Driver's footwell, under the right-hand end of the dash — sit in the driver's seat, look up and inboard from the pedal box and the 16-pin socket is directly above the pedals, tucked against the lower steering column and just outboard of the driver's-side junction/fuse box. The socket faces straight down and is not behind any lid, flap or labelled cover; the lower knee trim under the column is the only thing hiding it, and on a standard car you can get a plug and a jumper wire into it without dropping that trim. Same position on LS, XLS, VR and VR-X. It is a tight reach with the driver's door shut, which matters because the keyless-entry registration sequence wants the doors closed — leaning across from the passenger seat with the console lid up is the easier way to work it single-handed.
