RHD (Australian): driver's side, low on the dash end-panel, tucked up inside the driver's-side interior fuse/junction panel rather than sitting exposed below the steering column. On the MQ4 generation Kia moved the 16-pin connector from its old open position to the area behind the driver's-side fuse-box cover, so it is easy to miss — owners and techs routinely report not finding it in the usual spot. Drop the driver's-side fuse panel cover (the snap-off trim at the right-hand end of the dash, by the driver's right knee) and the connector is in there above/beside the fuse rows. Same location across all MQ4 trims (S, Sport, Sport+, GT-Line) and across petrol, diesel and hybrid.
Pull off the driver's-side end-of-dash fuse panel cover — it is a snap-fit plastic trim panel at the right-hand end of the dashboard (RHD), removed by hand with no tools. The 16-pin connector sits inside/behind this panel rather than hanging exposed below the column, so check up inside the fuse-box recess once the cover is off.
