Diagnostic port location (OBD)
Driver's side footwell, under the dashboard to the left of the steering column, above the bonnet release lever. The 16-pin OBD-II connector is located behind a small removable plastic panel on the lower dashboard fascia — pull the panel away by hand, no tools required. The Security Gateway Module (SGW) is mounted directly adjacent to the OBD port connector, above it on the lower dashboard. On right-hand drive (UK) vehicles the OBD port is in the mirror position to the right of the steering column. The SGW is physically co-located with the OBD port on both LHD and RHD configurations. IMPORTANT: From the 2018 model year onward, the Security Gateway Module (SGW) restricts write access to ECUs via OBD — see security_model for bypass information.
