RHD (Japanese-market car): driver's footwell on the right, but the 16-pin connector sits on the LEFT side of the footwell, just above the pedals near the centre-console edge — not over by the right-hand kick panel. Look up under the lower dash trim toward the throttle/accelerator pedal and the console; the connector faces down and is reachable without removing any panel. Same position across petrol and hybrid (DAA-RU3) trims.
