Right-hand drive only — every VZ was built RHD in Adelaide for Australia and New Zealand, so there is no left-hand-drive position to worry about. The 16-pin socket is on the driver's side under the lower dash, below the steering column and above the pedal box, sitting roughly in line with the brake pedal. The hinged main fuse panel drops down from the instrument panel immediately above it, which is the landmark to aim for — find the fuse flap and the diagnostic socket is just below and behind it. Same position on every VZ body: sedan, wagon, ute, Crewman, One Tonner, Adventra and Monaro, and on the WL Statesman and Caprice.
