Driver's footwell on the right-hand side, up under the lower dash directly above the accelerator pedal — reach up from beside the pedal rather than looking down from the seat, because the lower dash trim hides it from a standing viewpoint. The 16-pin socket is bolted to the metal reinforcement panel behind the lower dash cover, roughly in line with and just inboard of the hinged fuse-panel flap on the right-hand end of the dash. Same position on every RC body and grade — single cab, space cab and crew cab, DX through LT-R, petrol and diesel. Holden only ever sold the RC in right-hand drive, so there is no left-hand-drive position to check on an Australian truck.
