RHD (UK cars): driver's footwell, high up under the lower dash above the pedal box, on the inboard side of the steering column and roughly over the brake pedal. Reach up and inwards from beside the brake pedal and the 16-pin connector faces down at you, fully exposed. The snap-off interior fuse box lid is your landmark: it sits immediately outboard of the socket, above the throttle pedal and just below the fuel filler release lever by the driver's right knee, so if you have found the fuse lid you have gone about a hand's width too far outboard. LHD: mirrored, above the pedals immediately outboard of the steering column, with the fuse lid and fuel filler release to its left. Same position on Touch, Feel, Flair, Flair Edition and Airscape, on both 3-door and 5-door, and unchanged through the 2018 facelift. Worth knowing before you get out of the van: this socket handles the transponder and the engine-ECU re-sync, but the central locking remotes on the bladed cars are taught by hand inside the car and never touch it.
