Driver's footwell, left of the steering column, above the footrest — facing upward under the lower dashboard trim, close to where the bonnet release lever is mounted on the same lower fascia panel. The port sits horizontally, pointing downward; you may need to crouch slightly and look up into the footwell to spot it. Same position across all X6 F16 trims and engine variants for the full 2014–2019 run. This is a LHD-only market vehicle (US spec); RHD location data does not apply.
A small rectangular snap-off plastic cover protects the port. Pull the cover directly towards you — no tools required. The 16-pin connector is immediately visible once the cover is removed.
