LHD: driver's footwell on the door side of the steering column, on the underside of the lower dash panel directly above the footrest and the bonnet-release handle - the 16-pin socket faces down, so you look up at it from the pedals rather than seeing it from the seat. RHD (UK): the socket is on the driver's side; look in the same lower-dash position on the door side of the column, up by the right-hand bonnet-release handle and the driver's footwell fuse panel, with your head down by the pedals and a torch. Same position on xLine, M Sport, M50d and xDrive45e.
