Location

Under the driver's side of the dash, a little left of the steering column, near the foot parking-brake pedal and just left of the hood-release handle. The black 16-pin connector blends into the dash underside and on some trucks hangs loose on its harness instead of being clipped to the panel, so use a torch. Same place on every 2019-2024 2500/3500 cab and trim including Power Wagon (US trucks are LHD only).

2010–2024

4th gen DJ

Location

Driver's side footwell, under the dashboard to the left of the steering column. The Security Gateway Module (SGW) is present on 2018+ DJ trucks and is located behind the instrument panel (slightly harder to access than on the 1500 DT). The FCA 12+8 bypass cable connects at the star connector behind the SGW.

OBD port location in a RAM 2500/3500 4th gen HD

4th gen HD 2010–2018

Under the driver's side of the dash, just left of the steering column above the driver's left knee: a couple of inches left of and slightly behind the hood-release handle, a few inches right of the parking-brake release. The black 16-pin connector is recessed and faces down, so the plug goes in upwards; it is hard to see without a torch. Same position on every 2010-2018 2500/3500 cab and trim (US trucks are LHD only). On 2018 trucks the CAN star connector used for the gateway bypass sits just above this port.
