Location

LHD (every US and Canadian car): driver's footwell, on the underside of the dashboard directly above the brake pedal, just to the right of the red bonnet (hood) release handle and left of the steering column. Find the hood release first and the socket is beside it at knee height. Same position on the GLC SUV and GLC Coupé, on GLC300, GLC350e and AMG GLC43/63, before and after the MY2020 facelift.

How to access

The 16-pin socket sits behind a small plastic flap about two fingers wide. Pull the lower edge towards you and it hinges down — no tools. The connector faces down towards the pedals once the flap is open.
