W212

Location
LHD: Driver's footwell, under the lower dashboard beneath the steering wheel, just to the right of the bonnet release lever and above the pedals. The 16-pin connector sits behind a small plastic cover flush with the underside of the dash. RHD (UK): Mirror position - driver's footwell, under the lower dash to the right of the steering column, near the bonnet release lever, with the same flip-down cover. Same position across all W212 trims (E200 through E63 AMG) and all bodystyles - saloon, S212 estate, and W207/A207 coupe/convertible. A torch helps as the footwell is shadowed. The W212 also carries the legacy 38-pin round Mercedes diagnostic socket in the engine bay, but all FBS3 key work is done on the 16-pin OBD socket in the footwell.
