Location

Left-hand drive (US trucks): under the driver's side of the dashboard, below the left side of the dash near the steering column. The port faces outwards towards the driver. The 2015 2500HD service manual places the DLC below the left side of the dash, and a 2018 2500HD/3500HD wiring guide puts it under the driver dash, so the position is the same across this generation. Only the left-hand-drive position is evidenced; this truck was not sold in right-hand drive in this market. If the tool won't talk, check the 12V power outlet fuse first: the port shares that circuit on Silverados.
