LHD (all US and Canadian cars): driver's footwell, directly under the small storage bin to the left of the steering column, above the footrest and left of the pedals. The 16-pin connector is purple (dark magenta) and faces down - crouch in the footwell and look up. Same position on every trim and both cluster types. On ex-fleet and dealer-tracked cars the port is sometimes pushed up behind the dash with a GPS tracker piggy-backed on it - if there is an empty hole, pull out the storage bin and follow the loom up to find the real connector.
