RHD (UK): driver's footwell, high in the lower dash above the pedals, on the left-hand (inboard) side of the steering column — feel up and inwards from beside the brake pedal and the connector faces down at you. LHD: driver's footwell above the pedals, immediately to the right of the steering column and more or less directly above the accelerator. Same position on every AB10 trim and on both the 3-door and 5-door bodies, and unchanged through the 2009 and 2012 updates. Worth knowing before you get in: on this generation the socket is for diagnostics and the immobiliser-to-ECU re-registration bridge — it is not where an all-keys-lost job gets done.
