LHD: driver's footwell on the outboard (left) side, tucked up behind the lower edge of the dash trim below the light switch and directly above the fuse box. RHD: mirror image — driver's footwell on the outboard (right) side, low down beneath the small dash-end coin/storage cubby and above the fuse box, roughly level with the driver's right knee. Same position on every Scala trim including Monte Carlo, and unchanged by the 2024 facelift. The 16-pin socket faces downward, so it is quicker to find by feel from the footwell than by looking down past the steering wheel. Note that the pull-open coin cubby and the fuse-box lid beside it are separate covers — neither of them hides the diagnostic socket, and people waste time opening both.
