Right-hand-drive UK cars: driver's side (right) footwell, on the underside of the lower dash trim directly above the pedals, just inboard of the lower steering-column shroud. The 16-pin socket faces down and slightly rearwards, so you feel for it above the accelerator rather than seeing it head-on. Same position across the L460 range (SE, HSE, Autobiography, First Edition, SV).
The 16-pin connector usually sits behind a small clip-off lower-dash trim panel on the driver's side. Unclip it by hand — no tools needed — and the socket is exposed immediately behind it.
