Location

RHD (UK): driver's footwell, right of the steering column, low down under the dash on a small two-screw metal bracket that hangs below the trim line. Landmarks are the bonnet release lever and the driver's fuse box lid — the socket sits immediately outboard of the bonnet release and below the fuse box cover, close enough to the pedals that a plugged-in dongle catches your right foot. Crouch beside the open driver's door and look up under the column and it is in plain sight. LHD (mainland Europe): mirror image — left of the steering column, again beside the bonnet release lever and under the fuse box lid. Same position on every Getz trim, three-door and five-door, pre- and post-facelift. The bracket is held by two screws and can be rotated ninety degrees if a chunky interface fouls the pedals.
