RHD (UK): the exact position on a UK right-hand-drive KA+ has not been verified yet. Expect it under the driver's side of the lower dash, around the pedals and steering column, but check before you get out of the van. LHD (mainland Europe): under the dash on the driver's side, directly above the brake pedal, close to the steering column. No trim difference reported between Studio, Zetec and Active. The interior fuse box (it carries the 10 A and 20 A diagnostic connector fuses) is behind the glovebox on the passenger side, not at the socket, so on a no-comms job check those fuses there.
Not confirmed for UK cars. One left-hand-drive report mentions a small hinged plastic flap over the socket that opens by hand; others show it open under the dash. No tools needed either way.
