Location

Driver's footwell, to the left of the steering column, behind a small removable plastic pull-off panel at the bottom of the lower dashboard fascia. The panel is released by gripping the lower edge firmly and pulling outward — no tools required. The OBD port is immediately behind the panel, adjacent to the fuse box. On right-hand drive (UK) vehicles the port is to the right of the steering column in the equivalent position. The same lower-fascia panel location applies across Grande Punto (2005–2010), Punto Evo (2009–2012), and the final Punto series (2012–2018). NOTE: 2005–2007 production Grande Punto models communicate via K-line (ISO KWP2000) protocol through the same OBD connector — not CAN bus. CAN bus immobiliser communication was introduced on the Punto 199 from approximately 2008 model year production. Confirm protocol detection is correct before attempting OBD PIN read on early examples.
