LHD: Lower dashboard on the driver's side, inside the dashboard fusebox compartment. Open the small cubby/storage pocket low on the dash beside the steering column, undo the two crosshead screws below it and drop the fusebox cover — the 16-pin connector sits behind a rubber blanking cap with a yellow centre, right next to the cab fuses. RHD: Same physical compartment but now on the passenger side of the dashboard (the dash fusebox follows the cubby across the cabin), same two-screw cover and yellow-centred rubber cap. The location is the same across panel van, chassis cab and motorhome-base trims, though on camper conversions the converter sometimes fits trim over the cubby that has to come off first.
Open the lower dashboard cubby/storage tray, undo the two crosshead screws beneath it and remove the fusebox cover panel. The OBD socket is capped with a rubber plug that has a yellow centre — pull the cap off and the 16-pin connector is exposed beside the cabin fuses. No special tools beyond a crosshead screwdriver. Note the diagnostic socket on these vans is policed by a Security Gateway: on most 2021-onwards builds a separate SGW module sits behind the glovebox (bolted to the rear of the LH glovebox on RHD vans), and on later builds the gateway is folded into the BCM. Plain OBD reads/clears may pass, but immobiliser work does not go through this socket (see the programming notes).
