RHD (UK cars): under the dashboard on the door side of the steering column, between the column and the driver's door, directly below the removable storage tray that hides the instrument-panel fuse box. The 16-pin socket faces down; look up into the footwell from the driver's seat. Same position on LS, LT and LTZ, petrol and diesel, FWD and AWD. LHD (mainland Europe Trax, for reference): mirror position, lower left of the dash on the door side of the column, above the footrest near the bonnet release.
