Location
LHD: lower left of the dashboard, to the left of the steering column and roughly 20 cm above the clutch pedal, facing back towards the driver's seat. You need to lean into the footwell to see it. Same position on Phase 1 (2014-2019), Phase 2 (2019-on) and the Electric version. RHD (UK market, 2014-2019): not independently confirmed. Look under the dash beside the steering column first; do not assume it is mirrored.
How to access
On many cars the 16-pin connector is covered by a small rectangular grey plastic cap. Pull the cap straight off with your fingers. No tools needed. Some cars have no cap and the connector is exposed.
