T31 (2nd gen)

Illustration — use it to know where to look.

Location

RHD (UK): driver's side, outboard of the steering column, level with your right knee. The 16-pin socket sits behind the small pull-off cover in the lower dash panel, right next to (on the left-hand side of) the interior fuse panel, so you see the fuses and the socket together once the cover is off. Same position on Trek, Sport, Aventura, Acenta, n-tec+ and Tekna, pre- and post-2010 facelift. LHD: the mirror image, under the steering column at pedal height, above the pedals on the left side.

How to access

Pull the small cover by your right knee straight off. It is a push-fit flap and needs no tools. Behind it are the fuse panel and the white 16-pin socket. The socket is right there, with no reaching behind trim.

Driver's footwell, above the pedals on the right side of the steering column. The 16-pin white connector is behind a snap-off plastic knee panel. Once the panel is removed, the fuse box and OBD port are visible together. The port faces downward. Same location across all UK T30 trims (S, Sport, SE, SVE, T-Spec) and all engine variants (2.0, 2.2 Di, 2.2 dCi, 2.5).
