Hyundai Tucson OBD port location

2021–2024

NX4 (4th gen)

Location

Driver's footwell, under the dashboard to the left of the steering column. On UK right-hand-drive models the port mirrors to the right side of the footwell — below and to the right of the steering column, above the right knee area. The port is concealed behind a small removable plastic cover or flap. No pull-down panel or fuse-box access is required — the NX4 cover unclips more simply than on the predecessor TL generation. The port is a standard 16-pin OBD2 connector.

2015–2021

TL (3rd gen)

Location

Driver's side footwell, below the dashboard, to the left of the steering column above the pedals. Partially concealed behind a small pull-down panel integrated into the fuse box housing — gently pull down the plastic compartment near the knee bolster to access. On UK right-hand-drive models, the port mirrors to the right side of the footwell, near the glove box hinge side.

OBD port location in a Hyundai Tucson NX4

NX4 2022–2024

Driver's side, bottom edge of the lower dash panel (lower crash pad) left of the steering column, just below the small snap-in fuse cover by the driver's left knee. The 16-pin connector points down at the floor, so it is easiest to find from the footwell with a torch. Same position on all US trims including Hybrid.

TL (3rd gen) 2016–2021

Driver's side footwell, under the lower dashboard to the left of the steering column. The 16-pin OBD-II connector is located behind the fuse box cover panel on the lower dash — the cover is labelled 'FUSE' and must be pulled down or unclipped to expose the port. The connector faces outward/downward and is accessible without tools once the panel is opened. A torch is helpful; the connector sits at the lower edge of the trim panel just above the brake pedal.

LM (2nd gen) 2010–2015

Driver side, under the lower dashboard panel to the left of the steering column. The 16-pin OBD-II connector faces downward and is located at the bottom edge of the lower dash fascia, above the pedal cluster. No cover panel — the port is directly accessible by kneeling and looking up from beneath the steering column. Consistent across all LM-generation Tucson trim levels (GL, GLS, SE, Limited).
