Location

LHD: in the steering-column trim to the left of the steering wheel, between the column and the driver's door trim; look along the lower edge of that trim. RHD (UK): not yet verified for the Formentor. Start at the lower dash edge either side of the steering column above the pedals before pulling any trim. Same 16-pin socket on all KM7 trims and engines.

How to access

Some cars have a small flap in the trim over the socket: pull it down and out by hand, no tools needed.
