Location

RHD (UK): Driver's side, lower dashboard to the right of the steering column, in the area above the bonnet-release lever and below the light switch cluster. The 16-pin connector sits behind a small trim section in the lower fascia. On left-hand-drive cars the port mirrors to the lower dashboard left of the steering column. Position is consistent across PLUS and MAX trims; the petrol/MHEV hatch and the electric e-C3 share the same dashboard and connector position. If it is not immediately visible at the steering-column edge, check just inside the lower edge of the fascia near the kick panel — Stellantis small cars on this platform place it low and slightly recessed.

How to access

On most build dates the 16-pin connector is exposed at the lower fascia with no cover. Where a trim car has a small clip-in blanking panel over the lower-dash recess, prise the edge gently with a fingernail or trim tool to expose the connector — no fixings to undo.

OBD port location in a Citroën C3 Mk2

Mk2 (A51 / SC) 2009–2016

RHD (UK): Driver's footwell, low down beneath the steering column, tucked into the side of the cabin fuse box housing on the right. The 16-pin connector sits inside the fuse box assembly rather than out in the open, just above the pedals. LHD: Same arrangement mirrored to the left of the steering column, inside the cabin fuse box housing on the driver's side. Location is consistent across all Mk2 trims.

OBD port location in a Citroën C3 Mk1

Mk1 (FC / FN) 2002–2009

Passenger side, inside the glovebox. Open the glovebox and you are looking at the cabin fuse box cover; the 16-pin socket is mounted alongside the fuses behind that cover. It is not down by the driver's pedals on a UK car, and it is not in the engine bay — the only fuses under the bonnet are beside the battery. Same arrangement on every Mk1 trim including the Pluriel, and unchanged across the 2005 facelift.
