LHD (all US/Canada cars): driver's footwell, under the lower edge of the dashboard to the left of the steering column, low down by your left knee and above the footrest. The 16-pin socket is pink/purple, faces down and is clipped into the lower dash trim - crouch into the footwell and look up and left of the column. Same position on the Q5, SQ5, Q5 TFSI e plug-in hybrid and Sportback, before and after the 2021 facelift. If an insurance dongle or tracker has been fitted, follow its lead - the factory socket is sometimes unclipped and tucked further up behind the trim.
