Location
Driver's footwell, under the dashboard on the driver's side of the steering column — right-hand side on a UK right-hand-drive VN5, left-hand side on a left-hand-drive European one. Standard 16-pin J1962 socket, same position across Business, City and Ultima. Do not go hunting for it alongside a fuse box: the cabin fuse box on this van is in the passenger footwell, not the driver's. The part that matters most here is which socket you plug into — the VN5 is a DoIP vehicle, so the driver's-footwell connector is the one carrying the Ethernet pairs the factory tool needs, and any ancillary OBD-II socket a converter or fleet installer has added is not DoIP-capable and will get you nowhere near the service functions.
