LHD: Driver's footwell, under the lower edge of the dashboard to the left of the pedals, right next to the bonnet-release handle — find the bonnet release and the 16-pin socket is beside it. RHD (UK): position not yet verified for this model. Same position on all Q30 trims.

Check for a small clip-in trim cover; where fitted it pulls away by hand, no tools.
